Tarsha Calhoun

Tarsha Calhoun, Founder and CEO of E.AT. Away the Weight, LLC is known  as  a Lifestyle Weight and Wellness Consultant. Her purpose in life is to  serve millions of professional women around the world who have given to the extreme and now find their health, weight and happiness suffering. They are seeking a lasting solution to successfully managing their weight and wellness. 
 

Tarsha is a dynamic transformational speaker and has co-author two Amazon best selling books. Many refer to her as a triple threat in the health industry.  She is seasoned with compassion, experience, and leadership skills which enables her to get the job done. Tarsha background includes 17 years of working as a Registered Nurse. She has two Masters degrees in nursing. She is a Certified Lifestyle Weight Management Specialist.

Vice Chair

L. Denise Williams, MBA, CPHM

Denise is the Director of Supplier Strategy & Management. She is resilient, resourceful, nimble and an expert in leveraging her network. She has more than 19 yrs. experience in Health Care Management to include Case Management, Condition Management, Employer Incentive Programs, Client Reporting, Implementation and Supplier Management. In her current role, Denise manages a multi-million-dollar portfolio and is responsible for managing the relationship for more than 50 vendors which includes Performance Management, Contract Evaluation, Vendor Onboarding, Budget Management, and Strategy. Over the years, Denise has acquired an array of experience and built relationships across HCSC and believes in the power of collaboration. She’s a Champion for Diversity and Inclusion and has served on several committees both within her organization and the community.

Danielle Simonton

Danielle Simonton is a 32-year-old mother of two who has a deep passion for young ladies knowing their worth, accepting and loving themselves and being put in a position to soar. She works as an Executive Assistant to a VP of a health plan, however her skillset in executive support has led her to many opportunities outside of work to which she enjoys!! Danielle loves to coordinate events and has a heart of gold and mind full of ideas that will serve BRP and all its members with excitement and memorable experiences. She hopes to assist in making an impact on the Dallas population with BRP and all it has to offer. This is something she has dreamt of being apart of since high school and cannot wait to see the growth in the BRP Dallas chapter.

Simona M. Haqq, CTCM, MSW, MDiv

Rev. Haqq has over 20 years of experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, human rights, and working with youth through service organizations and mentorship programs.  She is an accomplished and highly dedicated servant-leader in ministry and have served in various leadership roles on statewide committees, civic organizations, and places of employment.  Rev. Haqq has co-authored chapter 11 “Mentorship: The GirlPOWER! Program” in the book entitled “The Handbook of Prevention and Intervention Programs for Adolescent Girls” and has a passion for community engagement, effective advocacy and investing in the lives of future leaders that results in equality.

Amanda Warren

Amanda Warren is the Supply Chain Food Safety Manager for PepsiCo currently residing in Mesquite, Texas. Amanda began her career with PepsiCo 7 years ago in Nevada. She took on various roles from sales, special events and manufacturing operations before pursuing Quality Control and Food Safety regulatory compliance. Amanda has always been an advocate for love and equality. Participating in countless community and workplace groups supporting minority, underprivileged and, disability causes. Amanda is passionate about the responsibility owed to coaching and developing our future leaders.  She is ecstatic to know and support women and girls of Dallas, watching them hold their own seat, in the Board Room.

Nancy Zamora

Nancy Zamora is a graduate of Texas State University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. Ms. Zamora received her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University – Commerce. As a first-generation college graduate and driven by her passion to see students excel beyond their barriers, Ms. Zamora began her career with TRIO in 2010 and is currently serving as the Director of the TRIO Student Support Services for the North Central Texas College District since 2017. Ms. Zamora also currently serves as President of the Texas TRIO Association as well as a Board Member for the Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP) and treasurer of the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas- Denton Chapter.

Mercedes Allen

Mercedes is a multi-faceted entrepreneur based out of Dallas, TX. As a full-service marketing agency owner @i3 clicks she acts as a consultant for growing businesses and leads the marketing strategy for software companies. She graduated from Mississippi state with her BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) with a Concentration in Marketing. Originally from Jackson MS, she has always had a love for being creative and developing ideas.

When she is not working on the next big marketing plan, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring new places, yoga, and learning about new cultures. 

 

Staying positive is a part of Mercedes’ mantra, believing that it’s best to “be the change you want to see in the world” -Ghandi 

 

As a board member Mercedes is looking forward to bringing digital marketing solutions and advisement to the team.

Tinia Collins

Tinia L. Collins currently works for the Health Human Services Commission (HHSC) conducting contract fiscal monitoring for the independent living centers.  She has served as the certified contract manager lead liaison training the Contract Administration Provider Monitoring units on the various federal waiver programs across the state of Texas.

 

Tinia’s strong leadership skills has nominated her to become an Aspiring Leader within the HHSC organization. She believes with her leadership experience she can make an impact in the world one day at a time.

Angeil E. Washington

Angeil E. Washington is a proud Houstonian born and raised in north Houston, Texas by a phenomenal single mother of 3.  Being the youngest child, Angeil has always tried to stand out.  She started her first business at age 15 and a Photographer.  She went on to teach Entrepreneurship to other youth throughout Texas.  She was the recipient of a full academic scholarship to Texas A&M University from the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering in 1999.  Angeil graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology and has worked in the Food and Beverage Industry for 15 years.  A mother to two beautiful girls, Imri (13) and Amari (10) and is married to John Washington and lives in the Dallas area.  Angeil enjoys the outdoors, traveling, reading, learning new thing, meeting new people, and teaching.  She is most inspired by encouraging others to reach their full potential and the belief that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
