Talia Christian
BRP Scholar - Board Member
Talia is a recent graduate of the NLC-Women Leaders, Fall 2020, the first Women of Color leadership program in Texas. Talia was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and grew up in San Antonio, TX with her parents and brother. Talia is currently a psychology major at Northeast Lakeview College with a 3.9 GPA. Talia hopes to become a psychiatrist or work in higher education. In addition to serving as the 2021 BRP Scholar board member, Talia serves in many other leadership capacities such as President - Black Student Union; Vice President - Young Professionals Club; SNT Coordinator - National Society of Leadership and Success; Vice President - Student Government Association; and Treasurer - ACD Student District Council.

Salena S. Guipzot
Founder and Chair
Salena has over a decade of experience working in M&A, succession planning, business strategy and development for financial firms across the country. Years of working in the male-dominated financial sector drove Salena to create and develop The Boardroom Project. Her ability to forge prosperous strategic partnerships in the non-profit and corporate world is her real forte, a skill-set she hopes to share with other young female professionals.
Kelly Lampkin, MBA
Vice Chair
Kelly Lampkin, Principal Consultant at FunMise, LLC enjoys empowering her clients with simplified IT solutions that solve business challenges and improve productivity. Kelly has a strong mix of customer service, project management, and technical skills. Kelly has a passion for mentoring others, to help them get started and flourish in an information technology and cybersecurity career path. As a female in the Information Technology industry, Kelly understands the gender gap in IT (particularly in Cybersecurity) and she is passionate about empowering young girls/women with road maps and the necessary tools to help close that gap.
Sunny Hernandez
Board Secretary
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Sunny has lived in San Antonio for the last five years and works as an academic advisor for San Antonio College. Sunny’s passion is educational equity and aspires to enter a Ph.D. program in urban education policy. As a former AmeriCorps, City Year - SA and a Masters from Dartmouth, Sunny is well equipped to serve our BRP Scholars well with direction and support to complete their educational goals.
Stephanie Martinez, CPA
Board Treasurer
Stephanie Martinez, CPA has over a decade years of public accounting experience, dedicating her time with high net worth individuals, family groups, and privately-owned businesses. Stephanie also focuses on working with real estate, medical practitioners, and non-profit organizations. Stephanie provides planning and consulting so her clients maximize their value.
Stephanie graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a BBA in Accounting and minor in Economics. She is originally from San Antonio and has family in Houston. Stephanie enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
Bella Hampton
Board Member
An Investment Consultant for the Portfolio Solutions Group of Charles Schwab. Bella is currently working to her CFP, as she has a strong history of working in the financial services industry, with skills in Negotiation, Analytical Skills, Sales, Team Building, and Retirement Planning.
Sandra González-Lamb, MPA
Board Member
Sandra González-Lamb currently works for Alamo Colleges in various capacities for 13+ Years to include grant project management and teaching. As a first-generation college graduate, Sandra is extremely passionate about removing the barriers to higher education and is fascinated by the cross-section where work based learning, IT and community meet (aka EduTech). A loyal Tejana earning her Master’s in Public Administration from UTSA, beginning her career in the non-profit sector with The Salvation Army and Catholic Charities. Lately, Sandra has focused her efforts on her consulting company helping develop grants, strategic fundraising, brokering community partnerships and career coaching.
Damika Burton-Richardson
Board Member
As the current CFO at DNA Auto Brokers, Damika understands the importance of investing in our youth by sharing her passion for serving the community and educating girls and women on their financial pathway to success. Years of working with our youth to combat substance abuse and addiction will allow Damika to utilize her experiences and education to help our BRP Scholars address family and community trauma, allowing them to focus on their studies while building up their entrepreneurial skills.
Karina Gil, Ph.D., MSW
Board Member
Dr. Gil has over 10 years of experience working with diverse populations in coalition building, managing multi-city campaigns, grassroot and community organizing, and policy efforts. Her areas of expertise include multicultural competence, community organizing, conflict resolution, issues affecting Latinos, women and other minorities, acculturation, leadership and access to power.
Elizabeth "Liz" Arevalo
Program Chair
Liz is the Education Liaison for Urban Strategies Inc. and is responsible for supporting the implementation of education strategies under the Choice Neighborhoods Initiatives (CNI) federal grant, with an emphasis on a cradle to career continuum of solutions for children and youth in the project service area. Liz develops strong working relationships with neighborhood schools and education partners to provide solutions to address needs around academic achievement and supports families in their efforts to educate children in the home, school and community.

Tania Gibson
BRP Board Scholar, 2020
Tañia is currently a Senior at Judson High School and a recent graduate of the BRP Scholar program. Her future goals include attending college at either NYU or Baylor to study anesthesiology. Tania's passions include women's rights, youth empowerment, and anything that encourages a collaborative team atmosphere that allows everyone the opportunity to thrive.
