Victoria Meyers

Board Scholar

Victoria is a thriving Sophomore at the Dallas ISD Townview Talented & Gifted (T.A.G.) Magnet School in Dallas, Texas. Victoria lives in Carrollton, Texas with her Parents and has Two Older Brothers in College. In addition to her appointment to serving as the BRP Scholar Board Member for the 2021-22 Session, Victoria is involved in many leadership activities she enjoys, such as Girl Scouts for several years and Victoria is in the schools’ Orchestra Program as a Violinist’s. Victoria is involved in her campuses Student Council, as Secretary. Victoria is a Black Student Union Member, Youth Advisory Board Member at her Family Church, a National Hispanic Institute Member, and Chairperson in the Global Elementary Model United Nations. Victoria is involved in athletic Track and Field events and is an active Member of the TAG Robotics Team. Her other interests include Dancing, Journaling, learning the Spanish language, and Psychology.


Victoria will make a difference in the world by making it a much better place with programs she has created to launch soon; help to keep the world safer, and a greener place for all.


Tarsha Calhoun

Board Chair

Tarsha Calhoun, Founder and CEO of E.AT. Away the Weight, LLC is known  as  a Lifestyle Weight and Wellness Consultant. Her purpose in life is to  serve millions of professional women around the world who have given to the extreme and now find their health, weight and happiness suffering. They are seeking a lasting solution to successfully managing their weight and wellness. 

Tarsha is a dynamic transformational speaker and has co-author two Amazon best selling books. Many refer to her as a triple threat in the health industry.  She is seasoned with compassion, experience, and leadership skills which enables her to get the job done. Tarsha background includes 17 years of working as a Registered Nurse. She has two Masters degrees in nursing. She is a Certified Lifestyle Weight Management Specialist.

L. Denise Williams, MBA, CPHM

Vice Chair

Denise is the Director of Supplier Strategy & Management. She is resilient, resourceful, nimble and an expert in leveraging her network. She has more than 19 yrs. experience in Health Care Management to include Case Management, Condition Management, Employer Incentive Programs, Client Reporting, Implementation and Supplier Management. In her current role, Denise manages a multi-million-dollar portfolio and is responsible for managing the relationship for more than 50 vendors which includes Performance Management, Contract Evaluation, Vendor Onboarding, Budget Management, and Strategy. Over the years, Denise has acquired an array of experience and built relationships across HCSC and believes in the power of collaboration. She’s a Champion for Diversity and Inclusion and has served on several committees both within her organization and the community.


Hawanda Hill


Hawanda Hill, is the Chief HR & Compliance Officer for a Community Health Center located in Dallas, TX. She is an experienced healthcare administrator with 20 + years of service in the public and nonprofit sectors.  Mrs. Hill received her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management, and her Master of Science in Public Leadership degrees from the University of North Texas – Dallas.  She has also earned certifications in HIPAA Compliance, Healthcare Corporate Compliance and Healthcare Auditing. Mrs. Hill has worked in home health, private practice, and community health, with a focus on patient experience, operational efficiency, compliance, and human resources management.

Simona M. Haqq, CTCM, MSW, MDiv


Rev. Haqq has over 20 years of experience in mental health, developmental disabilities, human rights, and working with youth through service organizations and mentorship programs.  She is an accomplished and highly dedicated servant-leader in ministry and have served in various leadership roles on statewide committees, civic organizations, and places of employment.  Rev. Haqq has co-authored chapter 11 “Mentorship: The GirlPOWER! Program” in the book entitled “The Handbook of Prevention and Intervention Programs for Adolescent Girls” and has a passion for community engagement, effective advocacy and investing in the lives of future leaders that results in equality. 


Jacqueline Shepard

Board Member

Jacqueline Shepard, a Georgia native that has over 20 years of sales, marketing, operations, and leadership experience.  She graduated from an HBCU (Albany State University) with a Marketing degree. She is currently the Co-owner of Weekend Sprinter and FQ Tees.  Jacqueline also serves as a strategic partner for She has received several awards for her sales and merchandising achievements.


Jacqueline is known by many that have worked alongside her as a servant leader.  She believes in empowering others to be their best while achieving their desired goals. As a board member of BRP-Dallas, Jacqueline’s goal is to help this great non-profit organization achieve its mission of helping young girls and women reach their full potential.

Nakia M. Payne

Board Member

Nakia M. Payne, is a native Houstonian with a B.A. in English with a concentration in Literary Studies from the University of Houston.  A seasoned Corporate Training Manager and Instructional Design consultant, specializing in sales and soft skills, she received her C.A.S. and M.S. (2022) in Instructional Design Development and Evaluation from Syracuse University. 

Currently, as a Senior Business Manager, Nakia writes ans designs national communications. Additionally, a passionate teacher with a penchant for creative and immersive experiences, she enjoys facilitating small groups and workshops with topics that run the gamut, for youth and adults alike.

A devout binge watcher of documentaries and who done-it series, Nakia enjoys anything on the water and listening to live music.

Tinia Collins

Board Member

Tinia L. Collins currently works for the Health Human Services Commission (HHSC) conducting contract fiscal monitoring for the independent living centers.  She has served as the certified contract manager lead liaison training the Contract Administration Provider Monitoring units on the various federal waiver programs across the state of Texas.


Tinia’s strong leadership skills has nominated her to become an Aspiring Leader within the HHSC organization. She believes with her leadership experience she can make an impact in the world one day at a time.


Cheryl A. Maclin-Meridith

Board Member

Cheryl A. Maclin-Meridith, M. Ed. is a Phenomenal and Innovative 21st Century State of Texas Certified Professional Educator. She is the Founder of “M & M Education Resource Services”, LLC. Cheryl’s gifted and  exceptional skill sets have come with many layers of Leadership. She is experienced in within a myriad of renowned successful programs that allowed her the opportunity to Facilitate & Coach public school campuses/programs: SBEC coordinator, at Training & Certificate Texas Teachers, Chair Mentoring Programs, PTA initiatives with parents and colleagues for over 5 decades!  Cheryl is a PROUD HBCU graduate of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. Cheryl obtained her Masters’ Degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Cheryl’s LONGHORN love led her to practice at the School of Preventing Educational Risk at UT Austin where this allowed her to participate and contribute to initiatives with the Austin ISD & many surrounding ISD’s. Cheryl was among the 1st graduate class to be inducted, in collaboration with ESC Region 13 Austin as a State of Texas Mediator, with the School of Law University of Houston and Facilitator for PBS and CHAMPS Initiatives!  Mrs. Maclin-Meridith, is affectionately known as Mrs. M & M! Mrs. M & M is a true ADVOCATE for EDUCATION!
